Taekwondo and Karate come from different origins—Taekwondo from Korea and Karate from Japan. While there is some overlap in techniques, Taekwondo is known for its emphasis on dynamic kicking techniques. Karate, on the other hand, prioritizes solid stances, power, and strength, while Taekwondo focuses on speed, flexibility, and movement.

At Defy Martial Arts, the number of years to earn a black belt ranges from 4-6 years.

Taekwondo is for everyone! Anyone can benefit from the skills, confidence, and discipline gained through training in Taekwondo

At Defy Martial Arts, we offer classes for students of all ages and skill levels. Our programs are designed to meet each student where they are, helping them grow and progress at a pace that best suits their goals.

Taekwondo is a well-rounded martial art that improves strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall fitness while building confidence, focus, and self-discipline.
Suitable for children, teens, and adults, Taekwondo supports physical health, mental well-being, and positive personal growth both on and off the mat.

Not an issue! If a class is missed, students may attend a make-up class at another time. Please contact us to inform us of the missed class, and a staff member will help you schedule your make-up according to your schedule.

We’re here to help. If you have any questions about our programs, schedules, or memberships, feel free to reach out. Our team is happy to guide you and help you find the right program for you or your child!
